Meteora é o segundo álbum de estúdio da banda Linkin Park, lançado em 25 de Março de 2003. Na sequência de seu álbum remix Reanimation que incluiu remixes do seu álbum de estréia Hybrid Theory. A música em Meteora representa mudanças significativas desde o lançamento de Hybrid Theory. É formado por influências mais significativas do rapcore ("Lying from You", "Hit the Floor", "Faint", "Figure.09", "Nobody's Listening"). Sua música instrumental "Session", foi nomeada para um Grammy Award de Melhor Performance Rock Instrumental em 2003. Considera-se este o álbum mais pesado do Linkin Park até à data.
É o álbum mais bem sucedido na história do Modern Rock Tracks, um gráfico que se especializa em canções de rádio do gênero rock alternativo. "Numb" foi a canção do ano segundo o gráfico.
Todas as canções foram produzidas pela banda, que se inspirou na cidade grega Meteora. O álbum já vendeu 5,5 milhões de cópias nos Estados Unidos e mais de 15 milhões no mundo inteiro

Foi o décimo single da história da banda e se encontra no álbum Meteora, lançado em 2003, sendo o terceiro single deste álbum.
Curiosidades
Há ainda uma versão chamada de "Numb/Encore", (também lançada como single) feita pelo próprio Linkin Park em parceria com o rapper Jay-Z.
A palavra "numb" não existe em língua portuguesa, por isso as traduções recorrem a palavras de sentido parecido, como "entorpecido", "insensível", "chocado", "adormecido", etc. Mas no sentido original, numb se refere a pessoas que, após um grande choque emocional, tornam-se insensíveis, deixando suas emoções adormecidas por algum tempo, como se estivessem entorpecidas.

Hybrid Theory
Hybrid Theory é o álbum de estréia do Linkin Park, sendo o mais vendido da banda até o momento, cerca de 24 milhões de cópias pelo mundo inteiro, sendo disco de diamante nos EUA (equivalente à 10 milhões de cópias vendidas somente neste país).
Entre 1998 e 1999, este título era originalmente o nome da banda (anteriormente chamada Xero). No começo de 2000, graças a um caso de marca registrada com os produtores galeses de música eletrônica Hybrid, eles mudaram para "Linkin Park". O vocalista Chester Bennington havia passado dirigindo perto de um parque chamado Lincoln Park (agora Christine Reed Park, em Santa Mônica, Califórnia) todos os dias após gravar, e sugeriu o nome. "Hybrid Theory" foi mantido como nome do álbum.
Linkin Park gravou este álbum sem seu baixista, Dave Farrell, quem teve compromissos anteriores naquela época. As partes do baixo foram, na maioria das músicas, gravadas pelo guitarrista Brad Delson, mas a banda também contratou dois baixistas para as sessões. Ian Hornbeck toca baixo em três músicas, mais notávelmente em "Papercut", enquanto Scott Koziol toca baixo na qual se tornou o primeiro single americano da banda, "One Step Closer".
Hybrid Theory é considerado o oitavo álbum mais popular de todos os tempos[4]. A bem conceituada revista americana de música, a Rolling Stone, chamou o álbum de "doze canções de fogo compacto, misturando metal alternativo, hip hop e arte de picape, que não podem ser separados". Hybrid Theory foi o álbum mais vendido de 2001 e lançou três singles que foram direto para as paradas incluindo "In the End". Em 2002, a banda recebeu um Grammy de Melhor Performance Hard Rock por "Crawling", além de indicações para Melhor Álbum de Rock e Melhor Revelação. Depois de tanto esforço e determinação, desde as origens humildes da banda na Califórnia nos anos 90, Linkin Park agora tinha os ouvidos do mundo.

Brad Delson
Bradford Phillip Delson (Agoura Hills, 1 de dezembro de 1977) é o guitarrista do grupo de rock estadunidense Linkin Park. Ele é mais conhecido como Brad Delson.
Brad é um dos mais descontraídos da banda.É casado com Elisa Boren e tem um filho chamado Jonah Taylor que nasceu em 25/03/2008. Formado em comunicações, ele é, segundo a banda, o integrante mais feliz. Mas, às vezes é muito anti-social. Chegou a deixar o cabelo crescer, pois curtia muito rock pesado. Ganhou sua primeira guitarra quando estava na 6ª série. É superfã dos guitarristas Dave Matthews e de Stef, dos Deftones. Antes de tocar no Linkin Park, pertenceu a uma banda chamada Pricks, em 1994.
Curiosidades :
-Durante um show onde os pedais de sua guitarra não funcionaram, Brad descontou sua raiva chutando uma porta e quebrou o pé.
-Nunca explicou direito porque que sempre leva casacos para os cenários. Chester diz que seria algo relacionado ao filme Matrix.
-Brad escrevia uma coluna na revista Guitar World Magazine, a revista era para iniciantes.
-Um momento marcante de sua vida foi quando perdeu as calças em um showcase.
-Seu modelo musical é o Chester Bennington.
-Seu primeiro instrumento foi um trompete.
Seu momento mais embaraçoso foi quando um fã pediu para ele um pedaço de seu cabelo. Se diz fã da cantora pop Britney Spears o que faz os outros membros da banda ficarem meio embaraçados, eles preferem achar que é só atração física. Ele gosta de ser chamado de Big Bad Brad (BBB), como assina seu nome.

Anyway, vamos falar de música. O disco começa com Supermassive Black Hole, do Muse. Tipo, tu meio que já entra num clima sombrio-teen com a música, que se mantém com o Decode, do Paramore (apesar de ficar mais teen e menos sombrio).
A terceira faixa se chama Full Moon (The Black Ghosts). Se a banda fosse alemã, COM certeza ela teria sido muito mais tenebrosa, honrando o título. Mas para um filme pop adolescente, está de bom tamanho. O que complica é a música do Linkin Park que vem em seguida (Leave Out All The Rest). Deve ser para o momento em que os protagonistas estão se comendo.
